WE ARE LIVING CORALS MALAYSIA
We are a marine conservation organisation establish in Malaysia and run by Malaysian. As locals, we want to make a difference for future generations. We have two fantastic camps on beautiful beaches Pulau Perhentian and Sabah where we will teach you to dive so you can plant corals, rebuild a reef and work on turtle and shark conservation. The payment received will be used to support more conservation activity.
We started as keen divers within South East Asian water from Malaysia which is currently engaged in the sustainable business with a strong passion of making this world a better place. We then started a charitable dive initiative so as to clean the local seabed. Having said that with the effect of global warming, many corals are dying or already dead. This then effect the whole ecosystem of the local waters and it is sad to see this getting worse on a daily basis.
As we are just a group of passionate divers, we start to reach to other bodies which has the same goal so as to try to work on projects together. Living Coral Initiatives (LCI) is an inclusive, citizen science organisation supporting volunteers in hands-on reef research, education and practical conservation. All community members are welcome to join in understanding and saving our reefs.
